Garbage Enclosures using Pressure Treated Wood

The wood fence on the left is a garbage enclosure using 1' x 6' pressure treated wood mounted to 1-11/16" O.D. galvanized steel frame that is welded to steel posts. The pressure treated boards are attached using self tapping screws. A double gate is on the left side and a single gate is on the right.

The gates are made of 1-11/16" schedule 40 aluminum to keep them strong, but lightweight for better operation. The pressure treated boards are held in place by a top and bottom steel channel and self tapping screws.

This was necessary to clear a change in grade. It also makes the gates easier to open in the winter since they can clear any snow or ice build-up.
